This tool is for health professionals who provide care for Antepartum or Intrapartum women. Based on the SOGC Fetal Health Surveillance Guidelines, this fold-out plastic card contains flow charts for intermittent auscultation, uterine activity, examples of decelerations, and the Antepartum and Intrapartum Guidelines and Actions (SOGC) classification tables, as well as fetal scalp lactate and Acid Base interpretation for cord gas results. It is a helpful quick reference guide for use at the bedside for fetal tracing interpretation and when documenting. This 2013 version includes the fetal scalp lactate values used at BC Women’s Hospital to assess acidemia.
