Abstract
This curriculum for children from birth to 3 years with mild to severe disabilities links assessment and intervention. The book begins by describing the approach and principles of CCITSN and how to use the curriculum. The book outlines 24 teaching sequences, which are clustered into five areas: cognition, communication, social/adaptation, fine motor, and gross motor. Every sequence is introduced with a short description and special adaptations for children with motor, vision, or hearing impairments. Each curricular item or behavior within a sequence includes a materials list, a procedure and functional activities for teaching the skill, and the criteria for successful mastery. This new edition extends the age range from birth to 24 months to birth to 36 months. The curriculum can also be used with older children who fall within this age range developmentally. This volume overlaps with the second edition of The Carolina Curriculum for Preschoolers with Special Needs. This edition has more emphasis on home environment, play and emergent literacy. The appendix describing common conditions is also new to this volume.

Abstract
The focus of this book is on children taking personal responsibility for what they say, as well as thinking before speaking. Communication skills that promote friendship and other key social skills are encouraged. Bright, colorful illustrations convey the messages well via body language and facial expression. Examples expose the negative impact caused by the use of hurtful words and the effective use of the simple, powerful phrase, "I'm sorry." Also included are steps for adults and children to take to get help with a serious problem, such as abuse.

Abstract
In this book, the author, a Harvard psychologist, argues that parents, not peers or television, are the primary shapers of their children’s moral lives. He contends that parents' intense focus on children's happiness; obsession with achievement; and desire to be closer to their children; have eroded their influence as moral mentors and have imperiled their children's moral growth. The author highlights inspiring parents, teachers and coaches, and presents concrete strategies for moral, happy children.

Abstract
Windows to the Womb guides the reader through the first nine months of life from conception to birth. Using recent breakthroughs in embryology, interuterine photography, ultrasound, and other sensitive instruments of measurement, the author describes the amazing construction of our physical bodies, the "ultimate architecture," and draws parallels with the expansion of our minds as our brains and senses develop and grow. Dr. Chamberlain details new discoveries in embryonic and fetal research that support his own findings on the impact of the mother's emotional and physical state during pregnancy; the importance of bonding at the earliest stages, long before birth; and the steps that expectant parents can take to ensure the most nurturing start in life for their children.
