Abstract
Children with craniosynostosis are born with congenital deformities of the face and skull. In severe cases associated problems are common. The child who is not properly cared for can end up blind, deaf and with severe learning difficulties. In addition, they may be left with unacceptable facial deformities. Outside specialized craniofacial units, there is at present nowhere for those involved in primary or secondary care to go for help with the many practical problems that these children present. In this book, experts introduce the non-craniofacial specialist to what can be achieved and how they can contribute to the child’s welfare.

Abstract
Children with Regulation Disorders of Sensory Processing struggle to regulate their emotions and behaviors in response to sensory stimulation. This book explains how to recognize these disorders, which are often misdiagnosed, and offers practical ways of helping children with regulation disorders.
The authors explain the distinguishing characteristics, symptoms, diagnosis, assessment and treatment approaches for the disorder. Focusing on early intervention, they present a range of management strategies for sensory sensitivities, motor problems, over- or under-reaction, and extremes of behavior. These practical strategies for parents and professionals will help children with regulation disorders integrate and succeed in the family, at school and in the community.

Abstract
The Life Facts managing emotions kit contains materials that are designed to teach persons with learning and/or developmental disabilities about feelings and how they can be managed. Like other programs in the LifeFacts series, its purpose is to deliver basic information, not provide a comprehensive review. As such, the authors have chosen to concentrate on the four core emotions from which all other feelings arise: sadness, anger, fear and happiness. This program is designed to assist staff in providing a foundation from which their students can begin to build self-control.

Abstract
A clinical practice framework, the Hypotonia Wheel, was developed during an international project to support the development of intervention strategies for infants and young children with neuromotor disabilities in Guangzhou, China. This practice framework was developed to guide therapists' intervention choices to encourage the gross motor abilities of infants and children (0-3 years) exhibiting hypotonia and gross motor delays. The goal was to provide a practice framework that aligned with contemporary interest in activity-focused intervention approaches and that considered both a child's abilities and the influence of environmental context in the achievement of gross motor skills.
The Hypotonia Wheel and Guide may be useful for therapists, therapy students and early intervention providers who work with infants and young children with hypotonia. The process used to design the Hypotonia Wheel could be used as a template to develop intervention guidelines for other clinical conditions.

Spasticity - one of the component of the upper motoneuron syndrome - may result from diverse etiologies including cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. The negative impact of spasticity on a patient's quality of life can be significant, and may interfere with function, care, cosmesis, and comfort. These issues are best addressed by a multi-disciplinary management team. This monograph provides an overview of the etiology, assessment, and treatment of spasticity, with special emphasis on the role of botulinium toxin for focal spasticity reduction.
