Abstract
This kit includes the Playground Push-Around Video, an activity book, and discussion guide. The Discussion Guide includes learning objectives, presentation suggestions, discussion questions, a post activity, and a follow-up activities. The video, which is used in conjunction with the Discussion Guide, has four segments. Segment 1 is the story with a counselor narrative. Segment 2 is the Bully Song which is played and repeated for kids to learn and sing along. Segment 3 is the story without the counselor narrative. Segment 4 is a set of review questions. The video itself suggests that bullies do not exist without victims, and both participate in the bullying relationship. In the story, Butch, the school bully, picks on weaker or smaller kids. Luis, one of Butch's victims, feels helpless, stupid, and afraid when he does not stand up to Butch. The video explores the feelings of both the bully and the victim. Suggestions are offered for ways to avoid being a victim and for what a bully can do to change his or her behaviour.

Abstract
DateSmart-1 uses a realistic approach to teach students how to support the choice for abstinence. Each program uses NotSmart/LifeSmart examples to focus on issues every student must address: how to set sexual boundaries; how not to be emotionally manipulated; how to avoid people with "one-track" minds; what social situations to avoid; how to protect their personal space and how to use "I'll PASS," a new way to say "No" that fosters partner support; how to learn that sex and love are not the same -- and much more.
DateSmart-2 teaches students how to control their emotions and avoid impulsive reactions to intimate situations. Through humorous NotSmart examples, students learn what actions can lead to trouble. The program teaches men not to date minors and how to refrain from manipulative actions that exploit women. Women learn how to recognize trouble and how to avoid behavior that can send unintentional, provocative signals. Common misconceptions about the opposite sex are addressed.
Notes
Although originally designed for students with mild to moderate learning, emotional and cognitive disabilities, LifeSmart Curriculum series is appropropriate for any population in need of a comprehensive review of basic life skills.

Abstract
The Life Facts managing emotions kit contains materials that are designed to teach persons with learning and/or developmental disabilities about feelings and how they can be managed. Like other programs in the LifeFacts series, its purpose is to deliver basic information, not provide a comprehensive review. As such, the authors have chosen to concentrate on the four core emotions from which all other feelings arise: sadness, anger, fear and happiness. This program is designed to assist staff in providing a foundation from which their students can begin to build self-control.
