Feeling Good Again was written as a guide for therapists and parents to use with children who have been sexually abused. While the workbook was originally intended for children from 6-12yrs, teenagers and adults have also used and benefitted from it. Focusing on treatment issues and questions that children are likely to have about their abuse, the workbook should be used as a guide and combined with other materials that teach children about their sexuality, and other concepts they need to know as a result of the abuse.

Abstract
Sexual health and sexuality can be difficult subjects for parents and caregivers to broach with autistic children, made more challenging when children are at the severe end of the autism spectrum. Some parents may even question the validity of teaching sexuality to those who are severely autistic. This handbook guides you through the process of teaching about sex and sexuality, offers to answer questions such as: Why is it necessary to teach this subject to my severely autistic child? When is the right time to start talking about these issues? How detailed and explicit should I be? What methods are most appropriate? It addresses male and female issues separately and covers public and private sexual behaviours, sexual abuse, cross-gender teaching and liaising with school, in addition to the more obvious areas such as physical changes and menstruation.

Abstract
Safe and healthy behaviour occurs largely as a result of social skill competencies and social inclusion. The policies in this guide focus on building said competencies by providing means of addressing specific skill and environmental deficits of individual residents. It is the intention of these policies to reflect human relationships and sexuality as a source of human fulfillment and joy. In light of this understanding, loving relationships and sexuality are reflected in these policies as human rights. They include: freedom from sexual stereotyping; freedom from sexual oppression; freedom of information; freedom to control one's own body and freedom to express affection.
