Abstract
Based on personal experience and interviews conducted with 60 other multiracial families, the author has combined anecdotal research with a strong knowledge of childhood and educational development philosophy to provide this useful guide for raising multiracial children in a color- and race-conscious world. The author believes that, although most three-year-olds are not racially aware, it is important to deflect insensitive comments from strangers about appearance. As a child grows older, this early dialogue should deepen, so that children will feel safe and comfortable discussing their racial identity with parents and be able to bring up any racially charged experiences that have occurred at school or with friends. Included are suggestions for the special problems that may arise during adolescence.

Abstract
A book that shares the unique perspective of a father of a son with autism, with additional reflection from his perspective as a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with families of children with disabilities. It illustrates the impact that a child's disability has on the entire family. It is a valuable aid to parents dealing with fear, guilt, shame, sibling rivalry, marital strain, and other challenges. The book also addresses issues of bonding between parent and child and presents strategies for dealing with challenging behavior. Additional chapters are devoted to special issues for the family of a child with a disability, including the relationship between the parents, the effect on siblings, and the needs of fathers, who the author feels often require special support to express and deal with their emotions in the challenging role of parent to a child with special needs.

Abstract
In this inspiring book, Harvard-trained child and adult psychiatrist and expert in human motivation Dr. Shimi Kang provides a guide to the art and science of inspiring children to develop their own internal drive and a lifelong love of learning. Drawing on the latest neuroscience and behavioral research, Dr. Kang shows why pushy “tiger parents” and permissive “jellyfish parents” actually hinder self-motivation. She proposes a powerful new parenting model: the intelligent, joyful, playful, highly social dolphin. Dolphin parents focus on maintaining balance in their children’s lives to gently yet authoritatively guide them toward lasting health, happiness, and success.

Abstract
The spirited child--often called "difficult" or "strong-willed"-- can easily overwhelm parents, leaving them feeling frustrated and inadequate. Spirited kids are, in fact, simply "more"--by temperament, they are more intense, sensitive, perceptive, persistent, and uncomfortable with change than the average child. This book offers parents emotional support and proven strategies for handling their spirited child. It will help parents: understand their child's--and their own--temperamental traits; plan for success with a simple four-step program; discover the power of positive--rather than negative--labels; cope with tantrums and blowups when they do occur; and, develop strategies for handling mealtimes, bedtimes, holidays, school and many other situations.

Young Adults Sexuality
Abstract
Educating teens about sexuality is an important parental responsibility that involves more than simply giving teens a book about sex or having a single big talk. It is an ongoing process, with parents listening to teens and remembering their own adolescence and sexual awakening. Examining issues ranging from physical development to peer pressure to youth culture, this book is arranged by grade level. The author explores issues especially relevant to particular age groups. and offers solid advice and resources to parents,
