Diagnostic tests are reviewed in the context of the hypothalamic–pituitary–thyroid feedback system. Abstract
This booklet is designed for boys with constitutional delay of growth and adolescence. Information is intended to assist them in understanding the assessment of their pubertal and growth status by the pediatric endocrinologist. Details include a description of bone age X-rays, physical examination of the genitalia, and hormone testing. "Jump-starting" puberty using testosterone injections is explained. The booklet is to be used as a supplement along with general information books on puberty for boys. The final page lists a few such books on puberty, but it is not a comprehensive list.
