Caring for a child with HIV or AIDS can be extremely difficult. Caregivers and their children have to cope with a mixture of medical and emotional challenges every day. This DVD shares the stories of three families coping with HIV/AIDS and the people who surround them. It gives concrete suggestions for caregivers of HIV+ children under the age of 14 about where to find information and support for: helping children adhere to and tolerate difficult medication regimens; coping with and treating mental health issues like anxiety, grief over the loss of family members, attachment and adjustment disorders; disclosing HIV status to the infected child, family, friends and community.
